About Me

I'm Patty Henderson and I'm a collage and mixed media artist from Wallaceburg, Ontario.

 

My art journey began when I learned to paint with watercolours in the early 2000's.  My artwork evolved in a new direction when I discovered collage art or "paper paintings" around 2010 or so. My first experiment with tearing up and gluing pieces of failed watercolours let to a love of this jigsaw collage of text, colour, paper, paint, and natural subjects. Each piece tells a mult-layered story.

I still love to sketch and paint with watercolours and other media and have fun playing in my art journals.

Through my Etsy store, I have sold paintings to people all around the world. Locally, I'm pleased to have several repeat customers!

I sometimes take orders for special commissions. I can't tackle every subject, but if you are interested in something special for yourself or as a gift, please contact me and I can let you know if it is something I will take on.
