Happy New Year, followers! It's that time of year again, when a lot of people make resolutions for the new year. I'm not really one to do that, but this year I do have one resolution: Create more art! (And I really should make one for posting in my blog more often too! Sorry about that.)
I did have a pretty successful year at selling my artwork, with 15 pieces heading out across the U.S. and Canada! I also was commissioned to do a couple of interesting projects; one in paper collage and the other a watercolour.
It was exciting to have three of my collages accepted into the Thames Art Gallery's biannual Eye 4 Art Exhibition in November. Even more thrilling was that one of my pieces, Galaxy, was sold!

My goal this year is to build up my inventory, and to have fun along the way. When I'm not creating work to sell, I will be playing in my sketchbooks. I'm almost finished with one that I have been filling for a couple of years and I'm looking forward to trying out a brand new mixed media book soon. I'm also working on doing more nature journalling. I recently got a new camera and I've been practicing taking photos of nature in our area. I work from my photos to make sketches in my journal. More about that in the future!
